Yvonne Elaine Taylor of Clio-Mt. Morris, age 85, died Sunday March 3, 2024 at Cranberry Manor in Clio. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm Friday March 8, 2024 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, with burial following in Davison Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 11:00 am Friday until time of services at the funeral home.

Yvonne was born in Davison Michigan on December 23, 1938 the daughter of the late Homer and Marion (Hobson) Sterling and had resided in the Clio-Mt. Morris since 1961. She was joined in marriage to Charles C. Taylor on November 26, 1955 in Flint, and he preceded her in death on December 12, 2008. Yvonne graduated from University of Michigan-Flint with a Masters in Mathematics. She owned and operated her own airplane traveling to many states with her husband and family member. Yvonne was an accomplished seamstress and excellent cook.

Surviving are children: Sheryl (Dennis) Post, Reuben (Polly) Taylor, and Charles (Tina) Taylor. She also leaves her grandchildren: Shilo, Jeremy, Kyle, Travis, Neil, Megan, Dexter, and many great grandchildren. Yvonne is survived by her brother Donald Sterling and many extended family and friends.  She is preceded in death by sisters: Caroline, Alice, and Joann.
