William Jack Worden of Oregon Township age 73, died Sunday December 14, 2014 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Rite of Committal will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday June 10, 2015 at St. John Cemetery. Fr. Andrew A.Czajkowski officiating. Jack was born in Lapeer Michigan on January 3, 1941 the son of the late: Harold & Margaret (Anderson) Worden, and has resided in Lapeer County his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Jeanne Calvert on January 3, 1978. He had been active member over the years with Lapeer Optimist, Lapeer VFW, and had served as a Lapeer City Commissioner. Answering the call of his country Jack served in the US Army during both Korea and Vietnam Wars. Surviving is wife Jean, daughter s Dawn & husband David Prout, Marsha & husband Michael Hirschfield, and son Jerry & wife Lynda Calvert. His grandchildren; Tiffany & Jonathan DeHondt, David Prout, Haley Prout, Sara Prout, Sean Hillman, Devin Hillman, Sarah Calvert, and Ty Calvert. He also leaves great grandchildren Brent Hetzer and Vivian Hetzer, brother Jeff Worden, sisters Charna Worden-Paullin & husband David, Mother of his daughter Dawn, Ruth Snyder and husband John, and a host of other relatives.
