William I. Konieczka of Davison, age 86, went to be with the Lord, on Saturday December 18, 2021 at Ascension-Genesys Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday December 23, 2021 at Davison First Baptist Church 208 E. Fourth St. Davison. Rev. Mike Hilliburton and Dorothea Weist, officiating; private burial will be held at a later date. Family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.  Mr. Konieczka will lay state at the church from 10:00 am Thursday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in William's memory to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund or Outreach East.

William was born in Atlas Township, Michigan on December 9, 1935 the son of the late: John and Ruth (White) Konieczka and has resided in Davison his entire life. He married Mary Crum on June 1, 1957 and she preceded him in death in October 2010. He was joined in marriage to Wanda Baumgart-Brown on May 19, 2015. William was a member of Davison First Baptist Church, and enjoyed reading and studying his Bible. He loved the outdoors and spending time fishing. William loved to dance, sing karaoke, and spent numerous hours woodworking. William spent his entire career in the Building Trades he formerly owned and operated Konieczka Builders and had built both residential and commercial building though out his career.

He is survived by wife Wanda, children: Steve Konieczka, Ken and wife Lori Konieczka, Dan and wife Gidget Konieczka, and step-daughter Shelli and husband Robert Voight. He also leaves his loving ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers Robert and wife Anna Jean Konieczka, Alex Konieczka and a host of extended family and friends.
