Obituary

William Robere Jr. of Manistique and Davison age 88, died Wednesday Sept. 2, 2015 at the Pines of Burton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Wednesday September 9, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Robert C. Bacik officiating, with burial to follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. Family will receive visitors from 1-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Robere will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am Wednesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in William's memory to the Parkinson Foundation or Alzheimer Association. William was born in Fayette Michigan on May 25, 1927 the son of the late: William & Angelina (Rochefort) Robere and spent most of his life in the area. He was joined in marriage to Ruth Conarty on August 27, 1949 and she preceded him in death May, 2012. He was a member of Manistique Moose Lodge and Auto City Fraternal Order of Eagles. William had been employed by General Motors, Chevrolet Division for over thirty years retiring in 1986. Surviving is daughter Linda (Russell) Robinson, sons; William J. "Willie" (Diana) Robere and Jeffrey (Christine) Robere. He also leaves nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, brothers; George (Elaine) Robere, Herman (Ellen) Robere, sisters Freda Ridge, Nancy Dalgarn, and a host of other relatives. He is preceded in death by son Michael Robere, daughter Susan Mattarella, and twin daughters Diane & Nancy Robere. His siblings; Bertha Robere, Herbie Robere, Gloria Robere, Isaac Robere, Russell Robere, Edmond Robere, Irene Parrot, Laura Robinson, and Evon Perry.
