William E. Jackson of Burton age 84 died Sunday June 20, 2010 at Genesys hospice Care Center, Goodrich. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday June 24, 2010 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, Rev. Joel McCrandall officiating. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 pm Tuesday and 1-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial services will be held at 7:00pm Wednesday by Davison Eastern Stars #299, followed by Masonic Morningstar Lodge #556 at 7:30 pm Wednesday. Those desiring may make contribution in William's memory to the charity of your choice. William was born in Essex Missouri, February 26, 1926 the son of the late; W.M. 7 Annie (Tarply) Jackson and has resided in the Burton the last forty-nine years. He was joined in marriage to Sarah Keith May 4, 1955 in Angola, Indiana. William was a life member of the Masonic Rite; he was a member of Morningstar Lodge #556 F&AM, Davison Eastern Stars #299, Bay City Consistory, and Elf Khurahef Shrine. Bill was employed by General Motors Chevrolet Division for thirty-one years retiring July 1, 1985.He leaves to his memory wife; Sarah, children; Mark "Jako" Jackson of Burton, Regina (Dan) Suomi of Washington, Norman (Donna) Wolff of Texas, and two grandchildren. Brother: Durward (Pat) Jackson of Florida, Sisters: Marjorie Thompson and Nelda Miskell both of Missouri, and a host of other relatives. He is preceded in death by on brother, and two sisters.
