Culp, William Douglas "Bill" formerly of Flint age 89 died Sunday August 30, 2009 in Denver Colorado. Honoring Bill's wishes cremation has taken. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday September 14, 2009 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, followed by inurnment at Sunset Hills Cemetery.Family will recieve visitors from 1:30 p.m. Monday until time of services at the funeral home. Bill was born in Bauxite, Arkansas on March 20, 1920 the son of the late William & Viola (Johnson) Culp and had resided in the Flint Davison area for many years.He was a veteran who showed character in the uniform of this great nation proudly serving in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during WW II where he was awarded 2 purple hearts. Bill was a past Commander of Flint Power Sqadron. Bill enjoyed many happy days on the wonderful waaterways of Michiigan and Florida. He was always there to offer a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbor when ever it was needed. A true gentleman with a winning smile. Surviving is daughter; Beverly and husband Dean Baker of Colorado.Sister in laws; Martha Webb of Flushing and Gladys Waldron of Flint. Special "buddy" nephew Brian Webb of Florida, and niece Marsha Meeker of Remus, and several other neices and nephews. He is preceded in death by his love of his life,wife Dorothy of fifty-five yesrs.
