Wayne LeRoy Gillmer of Davison, age 92, died Thursday September 23, 2021 at Whispering Pines Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Monday September 27, 2021 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Chaplin Carl Burkeen officiating: with private burial in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors from 2:00pm till 5:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Wayne's memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation

Wayne was born in Rodney Michigan on April 16, 1929 the son of the late Charles and Edna (Booher) Gillmer and has resided in Davison since 1960. He was joined in marriage to Virginia Hall on April 13, 1948 in Flint Michigan and she preceded him in death on December 1, 2020. Wayne enjoyed spending time at the cottage with Virginia and they loved traveling from rummage sale to rummage sale. He also enjoyed spending hours mowing and maintaining his lawn.  Wayne was a member of Davison FOE #3589 and former member of the Davison Rotary Club. He had been employed by Genoa Plastic Company for over forty-seven years retiring in 1999.

Surviving are children: LeRoy Gillmer (Faye Philips), Roxane Wagoner (Wayne), and Lisa and husband Carl Burkeen. He also leaves six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Roger Gillmer, and great great grandson Dale Jerome Witt.
