Wayne Milton Abke of Otisville, age 80, died Thursday July 14, 2022 at his residence. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11-2 pm Monday July 18, 2022 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison with a memorial luncheon to follow at Forest Township Hall 130 E. Main St. Otisville. Private burial will be held at Cottage Cemetery at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Wayne's memory to the Kidney Foundation or Alcoholics Anonymous

Wayne was born in Caro Michigan on July 24, 1941 the son of the late Milton and Phidalus (Petiprin) Abke and has resided in the Otisville area the last fifteen years, spending most of his life in the Lapeer County area. He was joined in marriage to Patricia Davis on October 12, 1972. He was a graduate of Caro community Schools, and attended West Forest United Methodist Church for many years. Wayne loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and golfer. He had been employed by the State of Michigan Oakdale Facility until his retirement.

Wayne leaves to cherish his memory wife, Patricia, his children: Rodney and wife Dawn Abke, Tamara and husband Lee Jackson, Kevin and wife Shawn Abke, and Shari Kirk. He also leaves his seven grandchildren, and host of extended family and friend.  He is preceded in death by son Scott Abke, and Wayne's brother Eugene Abke.
