Walter Dennis Brandt, of Davison, age 79 died Friday September 20, 2013 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 7: 00 pm Saturday September 21, 2013 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Sarah Larose-Nettell officiating, with private burial in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors from 2:00 pm Saturday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Dennis's memory to the Kidney Foundation. Dennis was born in Flint Michigan March 27, 1934 the son of the late Walter & Rachel (McLaughlin) Brandt and has resided in the Davison- Flint area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Joyce Hubbs on November 8, 1952. He owned and operated with family the Walter E. Brandt & Sons Company retiring in 1996. He leaves his loving wife of sixty years, Joyce. Daughter Tammy & Steve Grandstaff, and son Steve & Sally Brandt. Grandchildren: Alexis & Richard Schneider, Amanda & Jeremy Zaneske, and Jonathan & Katrina Brandt. Great grandchildren: Abbigail & Izabelle Schneider, Brooklyn & Austin Zaneske, and Dennis's Grand pup "Kui". Brothers: Chuck & Mary Brandt, Richard & Nancy Brandt, and Sister Carol & John Kroll. Brother-in-Law; Paul Mannor, sister-in-law Josephine Brandt, and a host of other relatives. Sister-in-laws: JoAnn Swanson, and Dorothy Hubbs, brother-in-law Russell Hubbs.
