We are sad to announce the passing of Virginia Alice (Hine) Moore, of Burton, Michigan, was born on June 19, 1935, and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at the age of 87.   Virginia was the 7 ^th of 8 children born to Mary and Reuben Hine of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

Virginia (Hine) Moore attended the Michigan School for the Deaf, graduating in 1954. Virginia went on to work at the Michigan School for the Deaf.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Moore, her parents and six siblings Erma Pettit, Charles Hine, John Hine, Edna Forbes, Ervin Hine and Jerry Hine.  Virginia is survived by her sister Ellen Whaley of Akron, Michigan.

Virginia was very adventurous, creative and an animal lover. She enjoyed traveling, one time driving alone from Michigan to California and back. She joined deaf groups on several cruises and took multiple trips with friends.   Virginia was a master quilter and woodworker.  She quilted numerous quilts for friends and family.  She made many wood projects including cabinets, chairs and a sewing table and enjoyed working in her yard.

Virginia was a member of the Flint Association of the Deaf, Flint Deaf Senior Citizens and U-Club (Deaf ladies card club).

Per Virginia's wishes, there will be no services.  Those wishing to make contributions in Virginia's memory may do so with the Flint Deaf Senior Citizens or the Alzheimer's Association. Please share your condolences at www.HansenFuneralHome.net
