Viola Mae Lapham, of Flint age 90 passed away Sunday June 27, 2010 at Brian's House Hospice, Davison. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 1, 2010 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel Downtown Davison. Rev. Harold Polk officiating. Burial in Meadowview Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Brian's House Hospice, Alzheimer Foundation, or the Charity of your choice in Viola's memory. Viola was born in Clio, Michigan January 13, 1920 the daughter of the late Arthur Grant and Maude Mae (Neahusan) Hobson and resided in the Flint area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Thomas Lapham on October 27, 1938 and he preceded her in death December 1, 2009. She was Girl Scouts Leader for many years and employed by Heitzner House of Gifts in Flint and Grand Blanc. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters; Gloria & James Timm, Beverly & Fay Peek, and Nancy & Ron Schaepkens. Six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Sisters; Marjorie Cable, Donna Borgert, Doris Rose, and MaryAnn Hobson. She was preceded in death by daughter Janice Lapham in 1952 and brothers; Carl and Dale Hobson.
