SWEET, Vera formerly of Burton, and residing with her daughter the last seventeen years in California. Age 99 died Thursday October 4, 2012 in California. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday October 12, 2012 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Elder Lon Varner officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12; 00 noon Friday until time of services. Vera was born in Kentucky may 16, 1913 the daughter of the late: Ed & Josephine (Woodruff) Hall and had resided in the Burton area from 1943 until moving to California. She was joined in marriage to William Sweet on October 5, 1931 and he preceded her in death. Vera was employed by the Bentley School System until her retirement in 1973. She is survived by daughter Jane Allred of California, sons Richard Sweet of California, and Ron Sweet of Kentucky. She was blessed with grandchildren Theodore, Terri, Michael, Scott, Dalen, Bobby, Sue, Tim, David, and numerous great and great great grandchildren Vera was preceded in death by daughter Joan Harrison, and son Bill Sweet.
