On Friday October 28, Timothy Edward Colton passed away at the age of 48.
Tim was born on July 7, 1974, to Dennis and Karen Colton, in Flint MI. Tim attended Swartz Creek High School. He then graduated from the University of Michigan Flint with Honors and obtained a bachelor's degree in Social Work in 2015. Tim found his true calling & worked for several organizations in the area doing what he did best: helping people and his community. In 2008 Tim met the love of his life while working at Don Pablo's in Flint. Tim and Tommie had a perfect baby boy in 2009 and built a beautiful life together. Tim was currently employed at the Greater Flint Health Coalition and will be truly missed by his fellow colleagues.
Tim was a very passionate man and carried so much love in his heart. He loved music and was a fan favorite at karaoke. He loved a good debate and would talk to anyone who would listen about politics. He loved golf and would golf every chance he could. If it was a nice day, you can guarantee Tim was out on the golf course loving life. There wasn't a sport Tim didn't enjoy watching. Especially his Tigers & even more so, he was a diehard Michigan State FAN! There were several occasions he had to leave an event early so he wouldn't miss his Spartans. Most of all, Tim loved his family and friends. His biggest passion and love was his family. He lived for his little family of 3; if they were happy, he was happy. His pride and joy was his son, Christian. Family vacations were his favorite time & Tim loved exploring almost all of Michigan with them. His absolute favorite place in the world was always Lake Michigan. He couldn't go a summer without swimming in Lake Michigan with his son.
Tim was predeceased by his father; Dennis, sister; CaSandra, brother; Shawn, and brother-in-law Zach. He is survived by his girlfriend; Tommie Maasch, son; Christian Colton, mother; Karen, sister; Betty Colton-Johnson (Mike), mother-in-law; Roberta Wojcik, father-in-law; Ron Maasch, father-in-law; Chris Wojcik, sisters-in-law; Heather Maasch (Jason), Chloe Prusakiewics (Greg), and Klasey Wojcik (Mitchel), nephews; Jack Neal, Duncan Johnson, Gunnar Belchick, and Cooper Kurt, nieces; Ashlyn Kathleen, and Elle James.
