Timothy John Burns of Flint age 69 died Monday January 2, 2012 at Avalon Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Friday January 6, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm Wednesday and 1-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. A parish scripture service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday. Tim will lie in state at the church from 11:00 am Friday until time of service. Contributions are being made in his memory to the charity of your choice. Tim was born in Flint Michigan November 26, 1942 the son of the late; Robert Henry and Edna Marie (Fortier) Burns and has resided in the Flint area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Gloria Bosak July 29, 1987. Timothy was a graduate of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Flint and attended St. Mary's and Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Tim first love was his family especially his grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan of all sports his entire life. He followed and supported the teams of University of Michigan, Mott Community College and Powers High. He had been employed by General Motors Buick Division for over thirty-four years retiring in 1997; He then worked for the Flint Auto Auction. He leaves to cherish his memory wife, Gloria, sons; Terry and James & wife Sherrie, daughters; Shelley & husband Carl, and Nicole. Grandchildren; Tyler, Brendan, Brandon, Jacob, and Micali. Sisters: Corrine Crockett, and Mary Jo and husband Terry Gammon, and a host of other relatives. He is preceded in death by brothers James and Robert.
