Thomas Squire Lapham of Flint age 92 died Tuesday December 1, 2009 at Brian's House Hospice, Davison. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday December 5, 2009 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Harold Polk officiating. Burial in Meadowview Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 2-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Brian's House Hospice, Genesee County Humane Society or the charity of your choice in Tom's memory. Thomas was born in Fenton Michigan June 10, 1917 the son of the late: Leslie Clay & Mary Belle (Westfall) Lapham and had resided in the Fenton-Flint area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Viola Hobson on October 27, 1938. He was a member of UAW Local 659 and had been employed by Chevrolet Manufacturing for thirty-four years retiring in October 1976. He was a avid hunter and fisherman and truly enjoyed gardening. He leaves to cherish his memory wife; Viola, daughters; Gloria and husband James Timm, Beverly and husband Fay Peek, and Nancy and husband Ron Schaepkens. Six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Sisters; Marjorie White, Amy and husband David Charlton, and a host of other relatives. He is preceded in death by daughter; Janice Lapham in 1952, Sisters; Maxine Browne in 2004, and Marilyn Lane in 2009. Brothers; Harry Lapham in 2006, and Bill Lapham in 2005.
