Those desiring may make contribution in Tom's memory to the Old Newsboys or Genesee County Humane Society.
Tom lived a life defined by faith, generosity, and family. He was born in Flint, Michigan, on July 19, 1957, the son of the late Frederick and Eleanor (Morgan) Walroth, and has resided in the Davison area since 1984, spending his early years in Clio. He was a graduate of Clio Community Schools. Tom was joined in marriage to Joanne Tozer on May 30, 1980, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Tom was a true salesman, spending his early career in furniture sales while most of his years were in the automobile sales. Tom loved the outdoors. He spent numerous hours gardening and always made time for a good game of golf. He was known as a great cook and enjoyed taking charge of the kitchen. His skills as a handyman were appreciated by all the family and friends he continuously and selflessly helped. Tom's love for cooking and his knack for fixing things were more than talents – they were about caring for others and making life a little brighter for those around him. He had a strong sense of faith, having been a member of St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio and later with his wife at St. John Catholic Church in Davison.
For Tom, family wasn't just important – it was everything. He loved his wife, Joanne, his children, and his grandchildren. Known affectionately as "Grandpa T-Dog Thunder," Tom took immense pride in cheering them on at sporting events and school performances. More than anything, he treasured simply being present – sharing laughter, creating memories, and surrounding himself with those he loved most.
Tom leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of forty-five years Joanne, and children: Thomas (Allyson) Walroth Jr., Bryan (Apryl) Walroth, and Brittany (Patrick) Wilson. He also leaves his loving grandchildren: Nikki, Finley, Holden, and Maelie; his loving dog and companion, Franklin; is surviving siblings: Deborah (Keith) Clarke, Laurie Losey, Freddie Walroth, Jayne (Mark) Hooks, Jill (Garth) Barcey, Michele (Jamie) Swenor; his surviving in-laws: Mary (John) Smith, and Eddie Tozer; many beloved nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Edward and Patricia Tozer, his brother Teddy Walroth, and his brother in-law James Tozer.
