CALKINS, Theresa Mary of Davison age 79 died Thursday Aug 13, 2009 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday August. 18, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew J. Czajkowski officiating. Private burial at St. John Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until time of services. No visitation will be held at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contribution in Theresa's memory to the St. John Cemetery Fund. Theresa was born in Flint Michigan March 24, 1930 the daughter of the late; Frank & Cecelia (Samanski) Zaneski and has resided in the Davison area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Ray Calkins May 14, 1948 at St. Matthew Catholic Church and he preceded her in death in 1991. Theresa was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Davison and a member of Davison VFW Post 4087 Auxiliary. She had been employed by Davison Community Schools as Bus Driver for over twenty two years retiring in 1981. Surviving are children; Phyllis Calkins, Raymond Calkins, Patricia Tomasak, and Barbara (Buck) Ankney. Grandchildren; Melissa, Christal, Stephanie, Misty and Theresa. Great grandchildren; Anthony, Jordon, Damon, Sidney, Shelbie, Wyatt, River, Ethan, Korey, and Kyia. Sister Veronica Finch, Brother Don Zaneski and a host of other relatives. She is preceded in death by brothers; Stan and John Zaneski and Robert Zaneske, and Sister; Irene Haines.
