Susan Kay Richardson of Davison, Michigan passed away at her home, surrounded by family, Thursday June 22nd, 2023 after a courageous battle against Pancreatic Cancer.

Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Susan was born in Pontiac, Michigan on December 11th, 1952 to her parents Vernon and Lorene (Dawson) Rains.

Joined in marriage to her husband Todd Richardson on June 1st, 1985 they have lived together in the Davison area the last thirty-five years.

Susan, alongside her husband was an avid supporter of wildlife and had volunteered over ten years and over twelve thousand hours at Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Texas.

Susan was also a nurse and retired from McLaren Hospital in 2008.

To Susan, family was one of the most important aspects of her life. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Todd Richardson; Sons, Shawn (Margaret) Richardson, Christopher (Dana) Richardson, and Brett (Maryanne) Richardson; and seven grandchildren.

Also surviving is her father Vernon Rains, and her brother Steve (Rhonda) Rains, and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother Lorene Rains passing on April 11th, 2023.
