Susan Q LaLonde, or more affectionately known by her friends and family as Susie Q, passed away suddenly at her home in Columbiaville, Michigan during the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 4th, 2022. Born in Flint, Michigan to Richard Peterson (father) and Mary McKay Peterson (mother) on September 10, 1957, she was the oldest girl out of 7 children: Ronald "Ronnie" Peterson, Sally Harris, William "Bill" Peterson, Richard "Richie" Peterson, Mary Harris, and Michael "Mike" Peterson.

Susie Q first met the love of her life, Dennis William Keith LaLonde in 1974, later marrying on December 23rd, 1983. Susie and Dennis birthed 4 children; son Kevin LaLonde, and daughters Sarah LaLonde, Katherine "Katie" Delamater, and Rebecca "Becky" Trammell, whom they raised in Stearns, Kentucky. Following the passing of her beloved husband, Dennis in early 2016, Susie moved back to her hometown to be close to her family and lifelong friends.

Susie was an amazing artist who loved to cook and spend time with her grandchildren doing arts & crafts. Her Granddaughters, Madison King, Gabrielle King, Chloe Gordon, Ava Pharis, and her Grandsons, Isaiah Biala, Caden LaLonde, and William Trammell will never forget the times spent laughing and learning to draw and paint with their beloved Grandma.

All that knew Susie loved and adored her huge heart, infectious smile, and caring nature. One of her favorite quotes, "Always remember, you're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think" ~Winnie The Pooh~. Let us remember these words as we mourn the loss and celebrate the life of this beautiful soul. You will always be in our hearts Mom – give Dad and Kevin a big hug from us all! Until we meet again!

It was Susie's wish to be cremated and reunited with her love, Dennis. She will be buried alongside her husband of nearly Forty Years, on a beautiful piece of property in Strunk, Kentucky. No funeral service will be held, as per Susie's wish.
