Steven Christopher Hastings of Swartz Creek, age 68, died Thursday April 6, 2023 at Ascension-Genesys Hospital. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. No public services are being held. Those desiring may make contributions in Steve's memory to the Genesee County Humane Society.

Steve was born in Waco, Texas on December 25, 1954 the son of the late Stuart and Roberta (Murphy) Hastings and had resided in the Swartz Creek area the last thirty years. Steve loved animals, particularly dogs, (most especially his late boys, Buster and Shadow and his current girl Riven)

Steve enjoyed trips to the Casino. He was kind, funny, irreverent and deeply devoted to his family. He had been a Hairdresser for many years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his partner Dennis Eastman, siblings: Amber Bassham, Stuart Jr. and wife Kaye Hastings, Tim and wife LaDawn Hastings, and numerous extended family and friends. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
