Stephen D. Vanderkarr of Richfield Township, 80 years young, passed away Saturday February 5, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Private family services and burial in Flint Memorial Park have taken place. Those desiring may make contributions in Stephen's memory to the Genesee County Humane Society or Carriage Town Ministries.

Stephen was born in Flint Michigan on April 19, 1941 the son of the late Leroy and Wilberta (Easlick) Vanderkarr. He was joined in marriage to Connie Rex on March 18, 1961. Stephen enjoyed his retirement years from gardening to woodworking, and always took the time to breathe the fresh air on his little spot out in the country. Stephen was employed by General Motors AC Spark Plug Division until his retirement in 1996

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of sixty years Connie, his children: Mark D. Vanderkarr, Kelly Karalis, and Scott S. Vanderkarr. He also leaves his loving seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.org
