Sidney Lee Generes of Davison, age 85, died Wednesday October 19, 2022 at the Villages of Lapeer. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. No public services are being held. Private burial will be held at a later date at Sunset Hills Cemetery.  Those desiring make contribution in his memory to the Lion's Club Leader Dog Program.

Sidney was born in Los Angeles California on June 15, 1937 the son of the late Louis and Dorothy (LaFlame) Generes and has resided in Davison the last ten years, spending most of his life in the Flint area. He was an avid Michigan Football fan. Many of the community remember Sidney riding the streets of Davison on his yellow scooter.  He studied Restaurant Management at Michigan State University and later in life lived his dream of operating his own café until his retirement.

Surviving is children: Sidney DeGeneres Jr., Susan DeGeneres and husband Bruce Davis, and Mary Nell Gonzalez. Also he leaves his grandchildren: Jacob Gonzalez, Nicole and husband Josh Gardner, and his brother David Generes.  He is preceded in death by son James DeGeneres.
