Shirley Ida Davis, age 88 of Lapeer, formerly of Gladwin died Thursday June 10, 2010 at Lapeer Regional Medical Center. A funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 15, 2010 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, followed by burial in Meadowview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 1-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at the Funeral Home. Shirley was born in Lapeer, Michigan, May 3, 1922 the daughter of the late; John Dewey Bryan,and Leola (Baucus) Bryan, and has lived in the area for most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Harry Robert Davis on July 21, 1939 in Indiana and he preceded her in death April 14, 2008. Surviving are children: Shirley (Charles) Bonesteel of Lapeer, Robert (Margaret) Davis of Alabama, Gerald (Betty) Davis of Lapeer, Helen Wetherford of Lapeer, Judy Wagner of Lapeer, Patricia (Wayne) Abke of Otisville,Sue (John) Deckrow of Carsonville, Donna (Leonard) Pollum of Lapeer, Marlene (Leon) Martin of Otisville, Debra (Dean) Henderson of Metamora, Rhonda (Frank) Duplanty of Columbiaville, and Terry Davis of Flint. Sister Beatrice Davis of Lapeer, and Sister in Laws; Erlean Gilbert of Flint, Harriet Davis of Lapeer, and Ellen Docherty of Attica. Many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her Granddaughter Tracy Phillips, Grandson David Davis, and Son in law Richard Wagner.
