Sharon Lee Major of Davison, age 75, died Thursday April 26, 2018 at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday April 30, 2018, at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Mr. Daniel Gaines officiating with private burial in Cottage Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 3 – 7 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Sharon's memory to the charity of your choice. Sharon was born in Flint Michigan on December 5, 1942 the daughter of the late: Roland & Ruth (VanArsdale) Howd and has resided in the Davison area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Melvin Major on February 5, 1966 and he preceded her in death on December 30, 1997. Sharon was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She owned and operated Sharon's Beauty Salon for over thirty-nine years.  Surviving are children; Kim (Sam) Sambrano, Lee (Lance Rhines) Major, Patrick (Michelle) Major and daughter in law Mary Major. She also leaves her grandchildren: Sabrina Major, Joseph Major, Ethan Major, Alexander Major, Marcus Major, Melinda Yauch, Nicky "Fat Daddy" Major, Dawn Farmer and numerous great grandchildren. Sharon also leaves many extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by children: Todd Major, Nick Major, Melvin, Major Joseph Major Steve Major and Sharon's brother Clyde Howd.
