Sarah Elizabeth Tye of Davison, age 34, died Wednesday March 11, 2026 at Hurley Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday March 20, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church 706 Flint St. Davison, with Pastor Enwood Nevis officiating. The family will accept visitors from 12:00 noon Friday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Sarah’s memory to the family.
Sarah was born in Houston, Texas on March 21, 1991 the daughter of James and Vicky (Ex) Tye and has resided in Davison most of her life. She was a graduate of International Academy Flint, and attended Michigan State University. Sarah was an accomplished Cello player and had been a member of FIM and traveled with the Flint Symphony Orchestra. She enjoyed running and had participated in several Turkey Trots and Warrior Runs over the years. Sarah loved the movies, but also the quiet time at home doing puzzles and Legos. Her greatest love was spending time with family and friends, and especially during her favorite holiday, Christmas. Sarah was employed by Dr. R. Bouvier MD.
Surviving is her mother, Vicky Tye, brothers: Chris Tye, Kevin (Candace) Tye, and Zachary (Lakota) Tye. She also leaves her grandmother Marilyn Ex, husband Alexander Curto, and their children; Zachary, Isabella, and Connor, and a host of extended family and friends. Sarah is preceded in death by father James Tye, brother Jacob Tye, grandfather Duane Ex, grandparents Bobbie and Raymond Tye, great-grandmother, Dorothy Ex, and cousin Wayne Wetherwax.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bouvier for his loving care and kindness during this tragic time, and the staff of Gift of Life for their compassion and support during Sarah's giving of organs to help others. Please share your condolences with the family at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
