Samuel A. McCormick of Davison age 79 passed away Sunday February 27, 2011 at Brian's House Hospice of Davison. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Thursday March 3, 2011 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Randall Schultz officiating. Honoring his wishes cremation will follow after the service. Family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm Tuesday and 1-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Samuel's memory to Brian's House Hospice. Samuel was born in Richfield Township, Michigan December 26, 1931 the son of the late Samuel and Gertrude (Wagner) McCormick. He was joined in marriage to Mary Jane Simon on December 30, 1950 and she preceded him in death January 12, 2009. Samuel was a member of the Michigan Blue Grass Music Association. He was employed by General Motors AC Division until his retirement He is survived by children; Michael (Laura) McCormick, Rebecca Horton, and Steven (Susan) McCormick; grandchildren: Nicholas, Danielle, Jeri Ann, Megan, Julie, Rachel, Jacob, and Adam; great grandchildren: Gabe, Libby, Abbey, Janelle, Marissa, and Julian.
