Ryan Thomas Gilbert of Davison, formerly of Lapeer, age 34, died Saturday October 19, 2024 in Saginaw County. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday October 26, 2024 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, Elder ES McDonald officiating.  Family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm Saturday until time of services.

Ryan was born in Lapeer, Michigan on March 6, 1990 the son of Maureen Schroeder and Kevin Johnson and has resided in the Davison-Lapeer area most of his life. Ryan was a pipefitter by trade and employed by the Plumbers-Pipefitters Local 370. Ryan was devoted loving dad and a great role model to his nephews, and also had passion for golf.

Surviving is daughter Emma Gilbert, mother Maureen and husband Dave Schroeder, and father Kevin and wife Kimberly Johnson. He also leaves his siblings: Joseph Schroeder, Ashley Schofield, Arielle Johnson, and Mackenzie Johnson; his loving girlfriend Jenna Kleinedler. Also surviving is grandmother: Maureen Gilbert, and grandparents; Jo and Mike Turnwald, and uncles and aunts; Robbert (Kristen) Gilbert, Richard (Shelly) Gilbert, Paul Johnson, Keith (Rosa) Johnson and a host of extended family and friends. Ryan is preceded in death by his grandfather Ronald Gilbert in 2017.
