IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ross David
Trouten
September 21, 1974 – April 2, 2025
Ross David "Dave" Trouten of Burton, age 50, died Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in the presence of little brother Tom and his beloved dog Bruno, all after a short battle with cancer. In honor of his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Ross David was born in Flint, Michigan on September 21, 1974, the son of the late Ross & the late Joan (Larsen) Trouten, and has resided in the Flint-metro area for the beginning and now to end of his life. Dave attended the Bentley School District and was a 13-year Club Member. Dave continued his education by attending Mott Community College.
Ross David's ambitious career started when he was a waiter at Ponderosa back in high school. Dave's path quickly turned from waiting to management, where it wasn't long before his passion of steak turned to a love of tacos. It's Dave's experience at Don Pablo's which moved him from Flint to Minneapolis-St Paul. Experiencing the growth of the city, Dave obtained his real estate license – where he began working for Coldwell Banker Burnet - Minneapolis as a Realtor – moonlighting at Home Depot. When deciding to come back to Michigan, Ross Sr., was proudest when he was able to secure Dave a job at The General Motors Truck & Bus Division. Dave later started his own company, BlackTrout Construction in Dec 2008, doing general construction while also doing consulting work at C&L Ward. The Home Depot - Burton became Dave's final work home, in 2024, where he worked the Pro Desk.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Liam Ross Trouten and Graysen Randall Trouten; brothers: Stephan Grayland (Jacob) Lloyd-Trouten, and Thomas Robert Trouten; and a host of extended family and friends.
A special thank you to LaVigne Home for Compassionate Care and Henry Ford Health - Grand Blanc for all their help. Those desiring may make contributions and to share your condolences go to www.hansenfuneralhome.net
