Rosalie was born in Flushing, Michigan on June 28, 1930, the daughter of Ivah Brandt and Harry Dunning. Rosalie graduated from Flushing High School in 1949, where she was catcher for the Raider softball team. Robert and Rosalie lived in Flushing where they raised four daughters, Rosalie (Fred) Standridge of Davison, Robin Stranahan of North Fort Myers, FL, Rita Szukhent of North Fort Myers, FL, and Rebecca Shepherd of Rapid City, MI. In addition to all four daughters, she leaves eight grandchildren, Nicole (Nick) Goode of Fenton, Eric (Bethany) Huffman of Cincinnati, OH, Angela Stranahan of Los Alamos, NM, Theresa Miller of Farmington Hills, Zachariah Wolfe of Portland, OR, Melissa (Kenneth) Young of Deltona, FL, Dan (Adriane) Shepherd of Apopka, FL, Gayle (Keval) Hariprashad of Casselberry, FL; ten great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jack Goode, Olivia and Savannah Miller, Fiona and Bergin Hartzell, Desarae Young, Cody Hartman, Abigail Shepherd, and Bodhi Hariprashad; brothers-in-law, Mike T. Szukhent of Flushing and Roland (Jean) Szukhent of Flushing, MI; sisters-in-law Pat Szukhent of Flushing, MI and Arlene Dunning of Newago, MI; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by spouse, Robert, her parents, Ivah Brandt and Harry Dunning, her brothers Richard and Marvin Dunning, her brothers-in-law Steve Szukhent and Bruce Forsyth, and sisters-in-law Paddy Szukhent, Helen Forsyth and Martha Dunning.  Special thanks to the caring staff of Compassus Hospice and Fenton Health Care Center.
