Robert Owen Welch of Burton age 64 went to Heaven Saturday October 7, 2017 at Genesys Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday October 12, 2017 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel Downtown Davison.  Dr. Richard and Dr. Connie Meier officiating, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. Thursday until time of service at the funeral home. Robert was born July 12, 1953 in Flint, MI the son of Robert and Barbara (Jones) Welch and resided in the Burton area all of his life. Robert was joined in marriage to Rebecca Enyart July 29, 1980. Rob was an active member of the UAW Local #599 until October 2006 when he retired from Buick after 34 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He loved to watch Westerns on TV and especially loved his wife's cooking. He survived by his wife Rebecca; his only son: Robert M. Welch; his daughters: Erika Hill, Amanda (Brian) Reppuhn, Rachel (Tommylynn) Dunn, and Rebecca Kay Welch; grandchildren: Kristina and Matthew Hill, Logan and Hannah Reppuhn, Morgan Welch, Madelynn, Abigail, and Andrew Dunn, and Alivia Conrad; his father: Robert (Evelyn) Welch; sister Kathy (Bob) Spillane; sister in law: Donetta Madden, and his niece and nephews; and many friends.
