Robert Lee Tew Sr, of Flint Township formerly of Lapeer, age 74, died Monday April 2, 2018 at Hurley Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday April 6, 2018 at Heather Creek Church 4507 S. Dort Hwy, Flint.  Pastor Gary Curell officiating, burial will follow in Davison Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 4-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Robert will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am Friday until time of services. Robert was born in Flint Michigan on November 27, 1944 the son of the late; Edward & Beatrice (Duford) Tew and had resided in Lapeer area for over twenty years and spending the rest of his life in Flint. He was a member of the Heather Creek Church in Flint, and had been employed by General Motors Fisher Body and Buick Motors Division until is retirement. Surviving is wife Erma, daughter Tammy Burris(fiance Jeff Berndt), son Robert Tew Jr, grandchildren Holly (Ryan) Groat and Elijah Burris and great grandchild Bradley Groat.
