Robert Guiles of Burton, age 44 passed away peacefully Saturday, January 29, 2022 with his loving brother by his side. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. The family extends an open invitation to everyone that has had the blessing of to know Rob.
Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on December 22, 1977 the son of Thomas and the late Sandra (Hall) Guiles and resided in the Kearsley area most of his childhood. In his late twenties he ventured off to the west coast; Wyoming, Colorado and Utah to pursue a career in construction. It was during this time he became an avid outdoorsman falling in love with hiking, fishing and snowboarding. Rob loved to travel the country and could often be found in the wilderness hunting with his two German Shorthaired Pointers, Dash and Lucy. After the passing of his mother, Rob found his way back to Michigan to be with his immediate family to work for the family business of drywall and to spend more time with his nieces and nephews. Additionally, Rob was an active member of the church, loved sports, drawing and building things.
Many described Rob as the life of the party as he often had jokes to tell and constantly found ways to make everyone laugh. There was never a dull moment with him. Robert was empathetic, caring and compassionate. He was always willing to help others in need.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory his father, Thomas and siblings: Tony Guiles and Nicole (Robert Botos) Guiles. He also leaves his loving nieces: Audrina, McKenzie and Paisley and nephews: Maddox and Espn as well as his best friend Josh Stevens and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Sandra Guiles and his grandparents.
