Robert Gerald Sanchez Sr. of Davison, age 76, died Thursday November 3, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday November 7, 2016 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, officiating. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon Monday until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions in Bob's memory to his family. Bob was born in Flint Michigan on July 12, 1940 the son of the late Louis & Hazel (Bean) Sanchez and has resided in the Davison area most of his life. He was a member of Davison FOE #3589, and was an avid sports enthusiast, especially when it came to the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. He had been employed by General Motors Truck & Bus Division. Surviving is sons: Robert Jr. & wife Dawn Sanchez, Dan & wife Phyllis Sanchez, Nick & wife Cheryl Sanchez, and daughter Kelley & husband Harold Collette. He also leaves his ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a brother Donald "Bud" Sanchez. He is preceded in death by his brothers Louis and Richard.
