Robert Carl Bentling of Davison, age 93, died Thursday February 23, 2023 at Union Court Assisted Living, Chesaning. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday March 2, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church 706 W. Flint St. Davison; Pastor Todd I. Frusti officiating with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Family will receive visitors one hour prior to services at the church. Those desiring may make contributions in Robert's memory to Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

Robert was born in Detroit Michigan on February 8, 1930 the son of the late Julius and Leona (Charlet) Bentling and has resided in Davison since 1987. He was joined in marriage to Shirley Harwig on June 22, 1963 and she preceded him in death on June 22, 2004. Answering the call of his country Robert proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Robert enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, and spent his quiet time reading. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Burton VFW Post 2077, and had been employed by General Motors Buick Division retiring in January 1992.

Surviving are daughters: Michele and husband Wendall Prince, and Kimberly and husband Larry Nutt. He also leaves grandchildren: Heather (Shane) Sizemore, Kristin (Travis) Woodruff, Kevin Prince and fiancée Anna Kaminski, his great grandchildren: Kaiya, Vivian, Charlotte, and a host of extended family and friends.
