Robert William Barley of Davison, age 81 died Tuesday Sept. 25, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. A service will be held at 5:30 pm Friday Sept. 28, 2012 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Inurnment with Military Honors will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday Oct. 3, 2012 at Great Lakes National cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 3-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Robert was born in Big Beaver Michigan October 14, 1930 the son of the late: Elmer & Mattie (Mosher) Barley and has resided in the Davison area since 2007. Answering the call of his country Robert served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War. He had been employed by the US Postal Service with thirty-four years of service retiring in June 1989. Surviving is wife Patricia, children Ruth & Brad Ballard, Bobby Barley & fiancée Amy, and Tommy & Suzette Barley. Twelve grandchildren five great- grandchildren, and a host of other relatives.
