Rickey Allen Purdy of Columbiaville, age 64, died Saturday September 21, 2013 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday September 25, 2013 at the Hansen Funeral Home, Downtown Davison. Rev. Robert Love officiating. A gathering time from 1-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday will be held at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Rickey's memory to the Family Memorial Fund. Rickey was born in Sewanee Tennessee on March 16, 1949 the son of the late: Lloyd & Leila (Thomas) Purdy and had resided in the Columbiaville area since1978. Rick was an avid outdoorsman, he love to camp, hunt and fish. He leaves to cherish his memory children; Shawn & Sue Purdy, Ryan Purdy, Adam & Michelle Purdy, Fred & Trudy Hawley, and Paul Hawley; Seven grandchildren. Brothers; Randy & Corinne Purdy, Ted & Pam Purdy, and sister Sandra Love. Special friends Bob Moore and Tom Pitman.
