Obituary

Richard Thomas Ponsetto of Davison, age 87, died Monday August 28, 2017 at Mission Point of Holly. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday September 9, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski officiating, with Rite of Committal to follow at St. John Cemetery.  A gathering time of family and friends will be held from 6-8 pm Friday September 8, 2017 at  the funeral home, and from 11:00 am Saturday until time of services at the church. Those desiring may make contributions in Richard memory to the Charity of your Choice. Richard was born in Flint Michigan on June 1, 1930 the son of the late; Joseph & Rachael (Querci) Ponsetto spending most of his life in Flint and the Davison area the 20 years. He was joined in marriage to Sally Louise Pratt on February 1, 1956. Richard was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Davison. Richard owned and operated Durgan's Pharmacy and Baker Drugs, and later worked at several local pharmacies until his retirement. He leaves his wife of over sixty-one years Sally, his loving children: Richard T. Ponsetto Jr., Michael (Sandra) Ponsetto, Mary Ponsetto, and Laura Ponsetto. He also leaves grandchildren; Sarah, Julian, Eden, Katie, Becky, Joel, and great grandsons Kane, Kole and several nieces and nephews. Richard is preceded in death by brother Joseph Ponsetto.
