Richard Allen Metzger of Davison, age73, died Tuesday May 29, 2018 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Private inurnment was held on Tuesday June 12, 2018 at Great Lakes National Cemetery.

Richard was born in Brownwood Texas on December 30, 1944 the son of the late: Charles and Ann (Jensen) Metzger and has resided in the area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Susan Jablonoski on September 19, 1970. Answering the call of his country Richard proudly served in the US Army. He had been employed by General Motors Powertrain Division retiring in 1999.

Surviving is wife Susan, son Ryan and wife Eleanor Metzger, and daughter Lisa Metzger. He also leaves his loving grandchildren Gabrielle and Rory. His mother-in-law Ethel Jablonoski, and a host of extended family. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
