Richard Duane Longendyke of Davison, age 80, dearest father and husband,died Friday November 5, 2010. He leaves behind four boys who will never forget him. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Monday November 8, 2010 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Lay Pastor Sue Colavincenzo officiating,with burial to follow at Davison Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Contributions are encouraged in Richard's name to the Parkinson Foundation. Richard was born in Flint, Michigan March 26, 1930 the son of the late Earl and Lillian (Henschel) Longendyke and had resided in Davison area since 1960. Richard was joined in marriage to Dorothy Camp July 23, 1952 in Angola, Indiana and she preceded him in death June 10, 2009. Mr.Longendyke was a graduate of Beecher High School. Answering the call of his country Richard served in the US Air Force, and had owned and operated Long Dyke Photo Studio.His sons are Rick(wife Sue), Rob(wife Lane)Ron(wife Kim),and Ross(wife Shannon) He also leaves nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Brother Ford Longendyke, brother-in-law Hoyt Petty, and many dear friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by granddaughter, Grace Longendyke and sister, Sue Petty.
