Rene Marie Davies, of Davison, age 74, died Thursday July 7, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday July 9, 2016 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Fr. Leroy White officiating. Family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm Saturday until time of services. Rene was born in Flint Michigan on November 11, 1941 the daughter of the late Max & Frances (DesJardins) Cook, and has resided in the Davison area since 1982. She was joined in marriage to Evan Davies on August 12, 1961 at St. Benedict Church in Waterford. Rene had been employed by General Motors Pontiac Division and later was employed by Oakland County School System. Surviving is husband Evan, daughters; Denise & Bert White, and Darcy & Patrick Cunningham. She also leaves behind grandchildren; Donald, Max, Joseph, Gina, Charles, Evan, and great grandchildren; Elijah, Noah, and Levi.
