Raymond Norman Sawicki of Pompano Beach, Florida age 93 died Wednesday June 19, 2013 at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Wednesday June 26, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant. Rite of committal will follow at St. John Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Sawicki will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am Wednesday until time of services. Raymond was born in Detroit Michigan August 5, 1919 the son of Leo & Magdalina (Krowlikowsky) Sawicki. He was joined in marriage to Lorraine Shave on May 26, 1945 and she preceded him in death on Sept. 9, 2009. Answering the call of his country Mr. Sawicki served in the US Army during WW II. He is survived by his children: Annette (Robert) Birch, Mary (Donald) Wright, Raymond J. Sawicki, Jane (Gary) Lewis, Richard (Lisa) Sawicki, and James (Tracey) Sawicki. He also leaves grandchildren: Jeffrey (Brooke) Birch, Rodney (Kristy) Wright, Pamela (Jaime)Marceaux, Angela (Shawn) Hart, Elizabeth (Shannon) Gaffney, Jessica Lewis, Melissa (Brent) Fykes, Kathryn (Mark) Mckinley, Sarah Lewis, Brian Wright, Kristin (Michael) Sanchez, Richard (Diana) Sawicki, Rachael (Samuel) Colwell, Suzanne (Edward) Barrows, Mary Sawicki, Clarissa Sawicki, John Sawicki, and great-grandchildren: Curtis, William, Cody, Taylor, Layla, Tyler, Brooke, Kyle, Jacob, Hailey, Ethan, Conner, Bailey G., Bailey H., Conor, Luke, Ashley, Liam, Caitlyn, Lola, Roman, Everett, Alexander, Grace, and Aimar.
