Randall M. “Randy” O’Neal Sr. of Davison, age 73, died Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at McLaren-Flint Hospital. A gathering time of family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Hansen Funeral Home, Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Graveside services with Marine Honors will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 3 -7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Randy’s memory may make contributions to Children With Hair Loss in S. Rockwood, Michigan. (https://childrenwithhairloss.org/way-to-help/)
Randy was born in Flint, Michigan, on August 12, 1952, to the late Earl and Anna (Bush) O’Neal. He spent his early years in Flint and has resided in Davison since 1982. He was joined in marriage to Janice Corey on February 28, 1976. Answering the call of his country, Randy proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and continued his service in the Army National Guard until his military retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and spending time in his garden with his sons and grandchildren.
His greatest love was family, and especially his grandchildren. Randy had been employed by General Motors, Buick Division, and Delphi until his retirement.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Janice. He also leaves his sons: Richard & Katherine, Randall “Randy” Jr. & Jessica, and his loving grandchildren Emily and Nathan. Surviving are sisters Shirley Vanover, Patricia “Patty” O’Neal, and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Earl O’Neal, Mark O’Neal, and his sisters: Dollie Kelley and Frankie Ann O’Neal. Please share your condolences with the family at: www.hansenfuneralhome.net
