Ralph "Ted" Theodore Barr, of Columbiaville, age 71, died Sunday December 8, 2013 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration Gathering will be held from 2:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday December 12, 2013 at the Hansen Funeral Home, Downtown Davison. Those desiring may make contributions in Ted's memory to the Davison First Baptist Church. Ted was born in Wadsworth Ohio on May 2, 1942 the son of Ralph & Mildred (Leatherman) Barr, and has resided in the area the last forty-five years. Ted was a true family man and enjoyed and loved them unconditionally. His passion of children and their education and futures was shown by his thirty-four years as an educator at Lakeville Community Schools until his retirement in 2004. He was avid sports enthusiast and spent many years developing soccer programs at Lakeville. He leaves to cherish his memory wife Mary. Children; Ross Barr, Rose (Marc) DeLaPena, Ryan (Parisa Ghazaeri) Barr, Rick (Nicole) Barr, his grandchildren Serena, Hayden, and Lucy. Mother; Mildred Barr, brother Jerry Barr, sister Candy (Ken) Ogden, and a host of other relatives. He is preceded in death by his father Ralph and sister Dorothy.
