Phylis Iva Coon-Maas of Davison age 67, died Friday December 17, 2021 at McLaren-Flint. Family and friends will gather for visitation from 1-4 pm Wednesday December 22, 2021 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Private inurnment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Phylis's memory to the family c/o Hansen Funeral Home.

Phylis was born in Flint Michigan on October 31, 1954 the daughter of the late AJ & Mary (Howard) Coon and had resided in the Davison area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to William Maas on March 21, 1992 in Flint and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2008. Phylis loved to work on puzzles and enjoyed time with friends playing Bingo. She was an avid sports fan, especially the Detroit Tigers.

She leaves to cherish her memory children; Steve (Kristin) Hubbard, Stephanie (Rodney) Cole, Scott Hubbard, and Shaun Hubbard. She also leaves her loving thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and her siblings: Joy Stellard, Mary Mathews, Allen Coon, Ralph Coon, Jane Deaton, Linda Devine, Lois Gates, Alden Coon, Nancy Kroetsch, Clifford Coon, Kathy VanWagnen, Kevin Coon and a host of extended family and friends.  Phylis is preceded in death by siblings: Marvin Coon, Clyde Coon, Doris Hartwell Paul Coon, and Howard Coon.
