Peter John Jerome of Mt. Morris, age 80, died Monday January 24, 2022 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place.  Military Honors will be held at 2 pm followed by a memorial gathering until 5:00 pm Monday January 31, 2022 at the Davison Eagles 3270 N. State Rd. Davison.  Those desiring may make contributions in Peter's memory to his family.

Peter was born in Bay City Michigan on July 23, 1941 the son of the late Alfred & Noreen (Lamb) Jerome, and has resided in the Mt. Morris area the last forty-three years, and spending his summers in Tawas. He was joined in marriage to Hattie Varney on January 26, 1974. Answering the call of his country Peter proudly served in the US Air Force. Pete was a member of American Legion Flint Council #342 and had served at the local, state and national levels of the American Legion.  He also was a member of Dom Polski, Forty & Eight, Flushing Moose, and the Tawas Eagles #2588. He had been employed by General Motors Buick Division retiring in 2004.

He leaves his loving wife Hattie, children; Tiffany (Greg) Sayles, Noreen Jerome, and Peter (Heather) Jerome. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Lauren, Jenna, Brady, Alysia, Amarion, Amir, Amoni, and Alysia. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Leo & Frances Varney.
