Peter Gancsos of Flint age 97, died Thursday March 24, 2016 at Redwood Manor in Burton. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday March 29, 2016 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Pete Scribner officiating. Family will receive visitors from 11:00 am Tuesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Peter's memory to the Calvary Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund. Peter was born in Kearsage, Michigan on February 1, 1919 the son of the late Peter & Julia (Majzer)) Gancsos, and has resided in the Flint area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Helen Carley on March 8, 1941 and she preceded him in death on January 22, 1997. He was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Rite. Peter and his wife owned and operated the P&H Market for many years. Peter also was employed by Hamady Brothers as a meat cutter until his retirement. He leaves his children; Donald & wife Fay Gancsos, Michael & wife Nadine Gancsos, and Debra & husband Russell Stevens. He also leaves his grandchildren Russell Jr. Scott Stevens, Christine Owens, Teresa Senften, and his great grandchildren; Kelsey, Connor, Ethan, Gracie, Benjamin, Kyle, and Christopher.
