Peggy Jean Sayers of Oregon Township age 82 died Saturday January 24, 2015 at Devonshire Assisted Living. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 am Saturday February 14, 2015 at Brookwood Golf & Banquet Center 6045 Davison Rd. Burton. Private burial will be held at later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Peggy's memory to Seven Ponds Nature Center, Dryden Michigan, or Hometown Hospice. Peggy was born in Pontiac Michigan on March 27, 1932 the daughter of the late Ellsworth & Leila (Bird) Burke spending numerous years in Burton and surrounding areas. Peggy then relocated to the Lapeer area in 1982. Peggy was joined in marriage to George "Mert" Wallace in 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1973. Peggy was married to Burton Sayers in 1982. She had been employed as a nurse for General Motors, AC Division retiring in 1992. She leaves to cherish her memory husband Burton. Her children Tom & Mary Wallace, Lynn Penning, Charles Wallace, Pamela & Bob Klynsma, Stacey & Lynn Coville, Rory & Cindy Sayers, and Kelly & Tonya Sayers. She also leaves her twelve grandchildren, one great grandchild, and sister, Billie Diamond. Her special friends, Pam Piger and Janie Carter.
