Pauline Doris Rook of Columbiaville and Lapeer age 96, died Sunday August 11, 2013 at her residence. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. Private burial services will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Pauline's memory to Columbiaville United Methodist Chruch. Pauline was born in Bowling Green, Ohio on February 14, 1917 the daughter of James and Lola (Fredick) Kerr and has resided in the Columbiaville-Lapeer area most of her life. She also spent many retirement years in Boynton Beach Florida. She was joined in marriage to George H Rook in February 1939 and he preceded her in death May 2009, spending seventy years of marriage together. Pauline was a member of Columbiaville United Methodist Church and had been employed by Lakeville Community School until her retirement.Surviving are son Richard Rook, daughter, Judy and husband Tom woodward, grandson, Cary and wife Laura Woodward, great grandchildren, Alexa and Adam.
