Paul was born in Flint Michigan on April 4, 1951 the son of the late Douglas and Marylyn (Bachman) Trevarthen. He was a graduate of Bendle High School, and presently made his home in Henderson Nevada, spending his summers in Michigan. He was joined in marriage to Ellen Kay Mueller on December 10, 1988 in Flint Michigan and she preceded him in death.  Paul had been employed by Schafers Bakery until his retirement; he later was employed by Caesars Palace International.

Paul had a larger-than-life personality that exuberated positivity and was a friend to all. He served in the Army National Guard for six years from 1971-1977 with 1 st BN 125 th INF.  He married the love of his life, Ellen Mueller and together they shared a beautiful, blended family of 5 daughters.  Paul and Ellen had 13 grandchildren. He loved to tell people that he had 13 grandchildren and would share special details about every one of them.   He was an avid sports enthusiast that was also known for his athletic ability back in the day with baseball, football, and basketball.  He loved to share stories about him and "His Guys". He could laugh for hours reminiscing about all the shenanigans they got themselves into.  It brought Paul great joy to watch and follow his grandchildren in their sports journey. He was inducted into the Greater Flint Area Sports Hall of Fame with the Chevrolet UAW Local 659 Connie Mack Baseball Team of 1967.

He loved everything food and was our "Foodie". He looked forward to date nights with Mueller "Mue" to find the best desserts Nevada had to offer. Pestos back home became the favorite dinner spot with Ami and Tara. He loved spending his summers in Michigan with his family at Holiday Shores.

He had a love/hate relationship with golf and enjoyed attempting different golf courses. His favorite part about golf was always the company he was with. Paul looked forward to his yearly father's day golf outing back in Michigan with "His Guys".  Trivia night with "His Guys" became an all-time favorite event that he thoroughly enjoyed.

Paul and his brother Toby were gifted with the ability to recite lines from movies. He loved to reminisce about childhood memories with Toby that always started and ended with laughter.
