Paul Irving Stables, of Sterling Heights, age 65, died Tuesday January 28, 2020 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place, with private burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Paul's memory to Great Lakes National Cemetery Fund.

Paul was born in Brown City, Michigan on May 3, 1954 the son of J. Edward & Virginia E. (Ellison) Stables and has resided in the Sterling Heights the last ten years. Paul was a graduate of Lapeer Community Schools in 1972. Answering the call of his country Paul served in the US Air Force, and had been employed by the State of Michigan until his retirement.

Surviving are siblings: James and wife Carol Stables of Davison, Janet and husband Peter LaRose of Canton Twp, Joyce and husband Ron McElroy of Utah, and Herb and wife Marsha Stables of North Branch. He also leaves five nephews, three nieces and a host of extended family. Also he leaves several close friends; Allan Rooks, and Carol Rodgers both of Sterling Heights.
